Overview
This document applies to Stack Overflow Enterprise customers participating in the Stack Internal platform trial. It doesn't apply to Stack Internal Free, Basic, or Business.
Stack Internal Additional Functionalities, which may be updated by Stack from time to time, include:
- A new workspace at stackinternal.com/[slug]
- Two optional new source connectors: Google Docs and Slack
- API
- MCP server
- Control Center UI and API for connector management, reporting, and user/role assignment
For the purposes of your trial, Stack Overflow measures usage of the Stack Internal platform in Flow Credits tracked across two distinct interaction categories: Access Flows (reads) and Input Flows (writes/actions).
Flows
We determine the category of each interaction based on whether the platform returns data or alters a system state.
Access Flows (reads & context summary) - 1 credit per Flow
- Definition An interface, custom developer API connector, or autonomous agent pipeline retrieves verified context or data without altering the state of your underlying knowledge repository.
- Core Rule You ask a question or initiate a query, and the platform returns an answer or data. The internal knowledge base, graph, and external systems remain completely unchanged.
- Included Activities Point-to-point text lookups, global semantic workspace searches, complex multi-source conversational chat synthesis, and premium verification features (including real-time confidence scores, text decay monitoring, and source contradiction flagging).
- Credit value Each Access Flow consumes one Flow Credit toward your monthly allotment.
Input Flows (writes & actions) - 3 credits per Flow
- Definition The platform actively alters a state, executes a write, or performs a transaction within your repository, graph, or an external system.
- Core Rule The platform actively executes a task or a change occurs inside your system or graph structure.
- Included Activities Automated node creation, graph memory updates, codebase merges, cross-system writebacks, and multi-step background tool loops executed run-to-completion.
- Credit Value Due to the higher operational layer of task delegation, each Input Flow consumes three Flow Credits toward your monthly allotment.
Trial period
The total monthly trial allotment is capped at 15,000 Flow Credits Per Month through 3/31/2027 for existing Stack Internal Enterprise customers, and any unused Flow Credits during a particular month will not carry over to any subsequent month period; provided however that Stack may modify the duration of the trial at any time upon written notice.
Onboarding of employees, engineering teams, and integrated systems is unlimited (seat-free). We calculate subscription utilization solely on the combined volume of Access and Input Flows executing against your 15,000 monthly credit threshold.
